Consider the location as a state machine. The chore's frequency sets the location state to needs vacuum or needs cleaning.
Chat GPT suggested "reset" instead of "tidy" for picking things up off the bedroom floor. This term might be general enough for most usage, but tidy is more familiar/approachable.
